# iBus Israel Transport API

> Read-only JSON API with stops, lines, timetables, realtime arrivals and official service alerts of Israel's public transport (source: Israel's Ministry of Transport — GTFS, SIRI, alerts; processed by iBus). Access by key of an approved project.

- Base URL: https://api.ibusisrael.online — operations: GET https://api.ibusisrael.online/api/transport/...
- Authentication: `Authorization: Bearer <key>` (format ibk_live_k_…); never a key in the URL (400 KEY_IN_QUERY); keys stay on servers.
- Access: an application is reviewed by iBus (https://api.ibusisrael.online/access/); keys, IP addresses and usage in https://app.ibusisrael.online/developers
- Diagnostics: GET https://api.ibusisrael.online/api/access/whoami (the client address the server sees, key and project state; no quota).
- Limits per project: per minute (burst), per day and per month (00:00 UTC), at the same time, heavy operations; 429 + Retry-After; keyed answers carry X-RateLimit-Limit / X-RateLimit-Remaining.
- Transition: published operations still answer without a key, with limits per network; the end is announced on the access page.

- Realtime rows carry `freshness`; use only `live` rows as realtime predictions.
- Timetable times are GTFS times of the service date (Israel local time, may exceed 24:00:00); `*_utc` fields are UTC.
- Not part of this API: accounts, notifications, the Lior assistant; the planner, whole-network export and vehicles only on request.
